Who are we?

We are a group of Jewish Orthodox Rabbis in the Chicago area, dedicated to teaching, mentoring, and helping candidates complete their conversion to Judaism.

Does everyone get accepted into your program?

In order to be accepted into our program, each candidate must demonstrate a high level of motivation and seriousness about converting to Judaism.

How long does the process take?

The amount of time it takes to convert to Judaism varies from one candidate to another, depending on the individual's level of knowledge and experience that preceded their application for conversion, as well as their commitment to learn and make the necessary and significant changes to their life and lifestyle during the conversion process.  On average, many candidates complete the conversion process within a year, although some may take longer.

Do you perform the actual conversion?

Although we do not perform the conversions ourselves, we prepare each candidate to meet and even exceed the high standards of the Chicago Rabbinical Council's conversion requirements.  Candidates who successfully complete our program and who demonstrate a strong desire to lead a Jewish Orthodox lifestyle, will be recommended to and presented before the Chicago Rabbinical Council's Conversion Commission.  The Commission will then review each candidate's progress and make any necessary adjustments to the individual's remaining course study and personal growth.

Is there a fee for your services?

There is no fee for our services.  All of our services are run by volunteers.
